Wisconsin's Fall Color Report
I’ve been talking a lot lately about the changing of the season from summer to fall. This is my favorite time of year to have the camera out and capture those beautiful colors that highlight out state. Even more so with the drone. There is really nothing better than seeing all the colors of fall from above. But the one question I hear most often this time of year is how are the colors in your area? Most of us enjoy the fall colors, but hate taking that drive only to find out that the trees haven’t fully changed or they are past their peak. So, what’s the best way to know how the colors are doing?
The is one website that I found that seems to have this figured out and it come from Travel Wisconsin. Their fall color report map is the best one that I’ve found and I use it every year. To be clear, I’m not endorsed or paid to talk about this website. I feel it’s important to share the things I do and use to help guide me throughout the state. And this site is the best.
It tell you at what percent of peak the colors are at in each county throughout the state. Even better, it give you an estimate of time that the colors will be at peak. This is great if your planning a trip or outing in the future and you want to make sure you’re getting the best chance to see the best fall colors Wisconsin has to offer.
The site goes even farther by offering you email updates, fall trip ideas and selfie stands throughout the state so you can impress your friends and family with stunning images of you celebrating fall.
This is a must bookmark site for your fall outdoor activities. I recommend that you start checking it often as the trees have already begun their change and most northern counties are already at 10% peak. I know that I’ll be visiting it before I head out to be one of Wisconsin’s Outdoor Explorers.
