North American Ice Fishing Circuit
Wisconsin’s Outdoor Explorer is about more than just me sharing my experiences with you. I want to talk to others throughout the state about the things they are doing or things they’ve done to help inspire others to get outside.
Recently, I talked with Jack Baker. He’s the president and tournament director of the North American Ice Fishing Circuit. (NAIFC) His goal is to not only run one of the best ice fishing tournaments in the country, but also to educate and inspire young kids to pick up the sport of ice fishing.
During each tournament, the NAIFC holds an Ice Camp for kids. They spend time educating kids about ice fishing in a classroom type environment and then take them out on the ice and allow them to experience the thrill of ice fishing.
The NAIFC also holds a tournament for high school aged kids. Infusing them with the fun and competition of ice fishing.
The NAIFC is more than just a traveling ice fishing competition, they education, inspire and have fun doing what they do best, ice fish. They are what Wisconsin’s Outdoor Explorer is all about.
